Wheel of Knowledge is our re-creation of the popular game Wheel of Fortune tm but with an optional twist. Contestants can be asked to answer a question before placing their letter. Up to four players/teams can play. Wheel of Knowledge is a lot like the game “Hangman” meets Trivia. We also call this game "Trivia Wheel" and "Word Wheel".
First our emcee introduces the contestants.
Choosing Players—First the computer shows the spaces of the puzzle and a clue to what the puzzle may be about. Then the computer selects the starting player/team.
Answering Questions—In optional question mode, the players/teams must answer a question before placing their letter.
Placing Letters— Current team (A) gets to spin our virtual wheel using their buttons on their contestant booths. The wheel will land on a point value. That point value will determine how many points the next letter will be worth. If that letter is in the puzzle, Team A will get points for each time that letter appears. Team A gets to spin again until they miss a letter. The computer will then move to the next team and then continue until time runs out or the puzzle is solved.
If time runs short, the game will go in high speed round with each player only allowed to place one letter.
Buying Vowels—At any time after they have spun, a team may buy a vowel for as many point on the wheel.
Solving Puzzle—At any time a team who has control of the board may solve the puzzle and claim the points.
Spins have various options including free spins and losing a turn.
Up to four teams can play but this is slower — we recommend 2 or 3 teams. The games can be timed with as many puzzles and questions as necessary.
